After a CCs date and a Sam’s run with my parents in town, Jen and I were able to escape for the rest of Saturday and headed to French Quarter Fest in NOLA. Anti and Vincent met us down there and we were ready to cruise the town. The weather was beautiful so there were a ton of people on the riverfront. It was packed!! We hit up a number of booths and the food was delicious. I would love to say that the hand grenade I had was also great, but after a number of sips, I was rudely slammed into by a old man who made me spill 90% of it. About 15 people boo’ed him while I stood there like a 5 year old who just got their ice cream cone knocked over. I decided to forgo another one, even though those first sips were delicious!!!
We met up with Uncle Doose while he was hanging out on top of a dumpster watching the bands (don't ask), and we hung out with Case while Lea was on a ship. We went to her place before she met us for dinner on the scoot scoot. Yeah, a real scooter. She definitely lives the FQ life and it is pretty sweet, she can park that think anywhere!! Here is a pic of Antoinette hanging out on it.

After Crawfish pie and a BBQ shrimp po-boy, Jen and I still left enough room for some delicious Drago’s charbroiled oysters. I have had these before, but not from Drago’s…seriously, they were awesome. Vincent pointed out that with enough butter and garlic anything can taste good, but seriously, I want to go back right now and get some more!!!
After our streetcar from Case's place to Drago's, we saw the following “gentleman” and his lady. Needless to say, that is her in his lap, and it was a highlight of the day. This fine young couple also went to Drago's where I held the door for him (sans lady) and he acted as if nothing was out of sorts with a woman 20+ years his younger riding on his oxygen equipped motorized wheelchair...it was hilarious.
This was our 3rd FQF. We went when Jen was preggers with Owen and we had so much fun that we wanted to make it a tradition. We went with him the next year and it was fun strolling Bourbon with an 8 month old and carrying him around in the Snugli. Last year, the boys were super new so we weren't going to make that trek, but we continued the tradition this year, without any kiddos. It was really fun and I am glad we got to hang out in NOLA with 100,000+ of our closest friends.

B- I just spit out my coffee when I scrolled down and saw this picture of you in my helmet. I had a great laugh at your expense... that is until I realized that I've never actually seen myself wearing my helmet... then everything stopped being so hilarious.
