Well, MM and PP came to our rescue once again, and took Parker and Jack back to SC for an entire week. To me, it was a logistical nightmare, but to MM and PP, it was an adventure. They drove down to BR, flew back home with the boys, rented a car (and carseats), flew back to BR, then drove back home to SC. WHEW. I am exhausted just writing that!!
We were a touch apprehenisve becuase we ended up havng to take JAck to the doctor the morning of the flight with a fever. He just had a little virus, and Dr. George gave him the all clear to go. He was back to his old self in a day or so. He and Parker had a blast at "camp," even though the weather was a bit colder than it was here. I think they liked having some quality time away. They got to visit Nana, go to the library, out to dinner and for coffee, and they went on numerous playdates. Thankfully they were good on the plane for MM and PP and they didn't run into too many issues during all the winter weather that blanketed the rest of the country.
Jen, Owen, Ben and I were able to get away to the condo in Florida since we only had to manage only 2 kiddos! That was nice and let us clear our heads, but it wasn't quite the same without all of our usual choas. Owen had a good time while his bros were away, but you could tell that he missed them...or at least missed bothering them and swiping their toys!
It was a strange week while they were gone. The mornings were weird and quiet and meals/bathtime/bedtime was easy. It was something strange since our guys were missing, but it sure was a nice change of pace and it put a little perspective on our daily lives. We were defnitely ready to see them when they flew back to BR!!

It totally amazes me how easy life is when I only have 2 of my 4! It is all about perspective I suppose!
