Summer 2011 (SC)

We went on a few adventures in SC too.  We took the boys to Lazy 5, which is a a safari adventure place where everyone could touch and feed the animals, luckily it was overcast so the sun didn't beat us down.  After losing a few animal feed buckets to wondering llamas, we made it through and had lunch there.  The boys were all good, though Ben didn't have a choice as he was strapped in the Snugli the whole time!

We also went to the Discovery Place Kids and had a great time (even though it was sort of sensory overload by lunchtime).  They have so much to do there, it is a great place and everyone will have such a good time in a year or two when we don't have to herd them like cats!!  Owen (ok, I) had fun building cars to race down the ramp against other kids (and their dads).  We beat the top seated champions!!  Well, I'm guessing he was since he and his son looked like the head design engineer for Nissan.

We all had fun playing in the pool at SCCL and going on adventure walks down the paths and just relaxing in less than 100% humidity.  It was pretty hot, but without the Louisiana humidity, it was totally bearable.

14 hours in the car later, we returned home safe and sound as usual, but the last few hours were a bit tough to get through!!
